Massive clashes and protests broke out after Friday prayers in southern areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Witnesses said that angry demonstrators hurled rocks at an army camp in Ladiyar village in Tral area of south Kashmir.
The youth, they said, were protesting against the death of two militants during an encounter at Manzimpora village in Shopian last evening.
Protests were going on at Dadsara village of the area.
Earlier, clashes broke out at Mattan, Qazigund and Achabal areas of South Kashmir.
An eye-witness told Greater Kashmir that youth protesting the killing of a Kashmiri truckers staged demos and pelted stones at a police station.
In Qazigund, police and paramilitary forces fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
