Kashmir Search Operation Called off as Militants Escape From Zakir Musa village

SRINAGAR – Search operation launched by the government forces in Noorpora – native village of Zakir Musa – ended today morning as militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness and stone-pelting protests, reports said.

They said that the operation launched in Peer Mohalla, Dangerpora and Sheikh Mohalla in Noorpora village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district ended around 8:15 am.

The operation was launched last evening following inputs about the presence of militants, including former Hizb commander Zakir Musa.

People took to streets and clashed with forces as the news of trapping of militants spread in the area.
