19 CRPF Troopers Injured In Srinagar Road Accident After Stone-pelting: IG CRPF

SRINAGAR, MAY 27: Nineteen paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men were injured, one of them critically, after their vehicle met with an accident in Bemina area of Srinagar on Sunday.

The vehicle of 28 BN CRPF was on way to convoy ground when it skidded off the road and turned turtle, resulting in injuries to 19 troopers.

IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi, according to GNS news agency, said the mishap took place after some youth pelted stones on the vehicle.

“19 troopers suffered injuries in the incident. All the injured have been hospitalised. Nine among the injured were shifted to army’s 92 Base hospital Badamibagh for treatment where the condition of a trooper is stated to be critical,” he said, according to the report.
