Budgam Resident Killed, 13 Wounded in Srinagar Grenade Blast

Srinagar, Sep 9- A civilian was killed and thirteen others, including a traffic police man, injured in a grenade blast at Jehangir Chowk in Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.

An official said that the grenade was lobbed at Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers deployed in the area.

The injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment where one of the injured identified as Maqsood Ahmad Shah son of Ali Mohammad Shah resident of Budgam succumbed to his injuries.

The injured traffic police man was shifted to Police Hospital, Srinagar for treatment, said an official.

The investigation of the incident is going on, he said.
