CRPF Trooper Killed, Two Army Soldiers Wounded In Twin Militant Strikes in South Kashmir’s Pulwama

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 18: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was killed and two army soldiers wounded in twin militant strikes in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday night.

Reports said that the militants opened fire on a CRPF party deputed in Kakapora for election duty at the railway station, leaving a trooper injured.

They said the injured trooper, identified as Hardik Chandra of 180 D Coy, was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed.

Less than an hour later, militants again opened fire on army party in Larva village, less than a mile from Kakapora railway station, leaving two soldiers injured.

Both the injured soldiers, he said, were shifted to a hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.

An official said the militants managed to escape from the spot. However, he said, a search operation has been launched in the area to nab them.
