Four Unidentified Militants Killed In Ongoing Boniyar Gunfight

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 18: Four militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in upper reaches of forests of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Quoting official sources, news agency GNS reported that a search party of army’s 5 Grenadier intercepted a group of militants at Torna post in the woods of Boniyar at around 8:30 am.

“After being intercepted, the militants opened fire triggering off a gunfight which according to sources continued intermittently till 12:30 pm,” said the report.

An army officer also confirmed the incident and said that four unidentified militants have been killed and their identity and group affiliation are being ascertained.
