Kashmir Police Solves Theft Case, Property Worth Lacs Recovered

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 22: Jammu and Kashmir Police  on Monday claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two accused.

“On 12th of October 2018, Police Station Pantha Chowk received a complaint from Sajad Ahmad Chaloo, proprietor Chaloo Multiventures and Manufacturers Industrial Area Phase 2nd Khunmoh that disposable articles worth lakhs and one mobile phone had gone missing from their factory premises,” said a spokesman.

Accordingly, a case FIR No.80/2018 was registered and investigation was taken up.

“Two persons hailing from Assam, who were entrusted with watch and ward of the factory premises were brought for questioning and after sustained questioning they disclosed that they have been stealing factory goods during late night hours and used to sell them to a shopkeeper at Kenihama Nowgam.”

The shopkeeper was also arrested and on his disclosure and search of his shop, stolen goods were recovered.
