SRINAGAR, July 14: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani while vehemently condemning the suicide bomb attack on an election rally in Mustang Baluchistan Pakistan, has called those involved in it as beastly enemies of the entire humanity.

Condemning the terror attack in which over 128 people were killed and scores of others injured, Geelani in a statement issued to GNS said that it is a well-thought-out conspiracy to defame and malign that country.

“Pakistan faces multiple problems and cross border terrorism,” Geelani said. “We condemn human killings and whosoever is involved shall face the wrath of Almighty Allah,” he said.

Expressing his deep condolences and sympathies with the grief stricken families and those injured in dastardly and dreadful action, the Hurriyat (G) chairman said that killing of 128 innocent civilians and injuring hundreds is a grave concern for the whole Pakistan.
“Terrorism in every form and place is condemnable and no religion, particularly Islam, has any place for actions like these,” he said adding that people involved in this attack can never be the followers of Islam.

While praying for speedy recovery for those injured in blast, Geelani said, “Those involved in these heinous attacks are not human beings and we demand exemplary and stringent action against culprits.”

“It is the handiwork of cowards and agents to destabilize this country,” Geelani said and asked authorities in Pakistan to identify the culprits and bring them to book as the country is continuously targeted.

Commenting over the UN secretary General António Guterres’ reference to the UNHRC report on human rights in Kashmir, Syed Ali Geelani expressed hope that UNO will take steps and intervene to resolve this long pending issue.

“I on behalf of people of suppressed Jammu and Kashmir express my gratitude to Guterres for his moral support to our cause,” Geelani said and expressed hope that the UN chief would play a positive and effective role for its peaceful settlement.

Meanwhile, a high level delegation of Hurriyat (G) on Saturday visited the residence of Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi (Anantnag) and extended condolences to the grieved family.

The delegation comprising conglomerate spokesperson Gh Ahmad Gulzar, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Mohammad Yasin Ataie, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Syed Mohd Shafi, Aashiq Husain Narchor, Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, Asif Ahmad Dada, Yasir Ahmad Waza and led by secretary general Gh Nabi Sumji paid rich and heartfelt tributes to late Gh Mohammad Sofi.

Hailing his contribution for the ongoing movement, the delegation said sacrifices rendered by late Sofi will not go waste. (GNS)
