The stage is set for another high-voltage India–Pakistan clash in the ongoing Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, with the arch-rivals scheduled to meet for the second time in the tournament on September 21 in Dubai.
The Super Four stage begins a day earlier, on September 20, with Bangladesh facing Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi. Both teams advanced from Group B after Sri Lanka knocked Afghanistan out in the penultimate group-stage game. Sri Lanka entered the next round unbeaten, joining Bangladesh in the top two.
From Group A, India and Pakistan qualified after Pakistan’s win against UAE on Wednesday. India, who remain undefeated so far, had already beaten Pakistan in their group-stage fixture in Dubai, setting the stage for a much-anticipated rematch.
The Super Four schedule is packed:
Sept 20: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi
Sept 21: India vs Pakistan, Dubai
Sept 24: Bangladesh vs India, Dubai
Sept 25: Bangladesh vs Pakistan, Dubai
Sept 26: India vs Sri Lanka, Dubai
Pakistan will get a day’s break before playing Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi, while Bangladesh face the toughest schedule, playing India and Pakistan on consecutive days.
The top two teams from the Super Four will advance to the final on September 28, also in Dubai. Notably, teams will not carry forward any points from the group stage into the Super Four round, making every match crucial for qualification.
With India and Pakistan meeting again so soon, cricket fans across the globe are bracing for another thriller in Dubai.
