Srinagar, Jan 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) will announce the results of Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Education Minister Sakina Itoo said on Monday.
The minister said the government has decided to declare the results of both classes on the same day to address students’ concerns over the delay.
“Students have been waiting anxiously for their results. Keeping this in mind, we decided to declare the results of both Class 10 and Class 12 on Wednesday,” Itoo said.
She said the Result Declaration Committee (RDC) will meet under the chairmanship of the JKBOSE Secretary, along with members including the Directors of School Education for Kashmir and Jammu divisions and joint secretaries. The results will be granted administrative approval in view of the vacancy of the JKBOSE Chairman’s post.
The announcement comes amid a prolonged delay in the appointment of a permanent Chairman of JKBOSE, a position that has remained vacant for nearly a year. The minister said the government would also move to appoint a permanent chairman after the declaration of results.
An official from JKBOSE said the Class 10 results will be declared on Wednesday morning, followed by the Class 12 results later in the afternoon.
