The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch registered a case against Kumail Ansari and Yetsen Kumar, following a joint complaint alleging cheating and criminal conspiracy, the spokesperson said.

The case came to light after the fall of PDP-BJP government in June 2018.

Heavy rains in the Badder village of Mahore triggered the landslide. A rescue operation is underway to trace the missing family, they said.

“Preliminary probe has substantiated the allegations of cheating. A case has been registered under sections 420 and 120-B IPC for offences related to fraud and criminal conspiracy,” an official spokesperson said.

The Army said alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged the intruders, which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire.

He said a joint effort in this regard by all is the need of the hour "if we really want to help them".

Immediately a search operation was launched in the area and it is still underway.

The decision was taken under Article 311 (2)(c) of the Constitution, the officials said.

This significant financial allocation, disbursed to the respective Assistant Directors of Handicrafts and Handloom, underscores the Government’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich artisanal heritage of the region while ensuring the welfare and economic upliftment of craftsmen.

The identity and group affiliation of the slain terrorists were being ascertained.
