New Delhi, Nov 21 — Google has introduced Nano Banana Pro, a powerful new AI-driven image creation and editing engine built on its latest Gemini 3 Pro system. The launch comes shortly after the company unveiled its upgraded Gemini model, which boosted investor confidence and contributed to a spike in Google’s market performance earlier this week.
Nano Banana Pro is designed to deliver more accurate, consistent, and flexible visual results, strengthening Google’s position in the intensifying AI tools race.
The tool is now live inside the Gemini app, where users can try out a limited number of free image generations. It also integrates across Google’s ecosystem, including NotebookLM, and platforms used by developers, advertisers, and enterprise customers. Access through Google Search’s AI Mode is currently reserved for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, with Ultra users set to experience the feature first via Google’s Flow video creation service.
Advanced Image Editing, Multi-Source Blending, and Real-Time Info
Google says Nano Banana Pro excels at maintaining visual consistency—keeping facial features and objects stable across multiple images, blending up to 14 different sources, and preserving the appearance of as many as five people. These capabilities are expected to be particularly useful for designers producing product imagery, style-coordinated sets, or concept art.
Powered by Gemini 3 Pro, the system interprets user instructions more precisely and can fetch contextual, real-time details—such as weather updates or live sports information—when asked to incorporate them into images.
Users can generate visuals simply by describing a scene or by uploading an existing photo and requesting specific edits. The tool allows fine-grained control over lighting, angles, depth, focus, and individual elements within an image. Output quality goes up to 4K, appealing to both hobbyists and professional creators.
Superior Handling of In-Image Text
One standout feature is the tool’s ability to create clear, readable text within visuals—something AI image models often struggle with. Nano Banana Pro can generate everything from short labels to full text blocks in multiple languages, making it an attractive option for posters, presentations, social media graphics, and promotional material.
Built-In AI Detection and Watermarking
In parallel with the release, Google added an AI-detection tool in the Gemini app that lets users check whether an image was generated by Google’s systems. Images produced via free Nano Banana accounts are automatically watermarked, while subscribers of the AI Ultra plan can generate watermark-free visuals.
Availability and Access
Nano Banana Pro is accessible through:
- The Gemini app’s image creation feature (free quota available)
- AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscription tiers with expanded usage
- Google Search’s AI Mode for Pro and Ultra users in the US
- NotebookLM for subscribers worldwide
With this rollout, Google aims to make high-precision visual creation simpler, faster, and more intuitive—pushing the boundaries of what users can generate and edit using AI.
