Srinagar, July 7: All educational institutions across Kashmir will reopen on Tuesday, July 8, after the scheduled summer vacation, Education Minister Sakina Itoo confirmed on Monday, putting to rest speculation around an extension of the break.

Itoo said that the reopening applies to all government and private schools from primary to Class 12th, including those located within municipal as well as rural areas.

Detailing the revised school timings, the minister said that schools falling under municipal limits of all districts will operate from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while institutions in rural areas will function from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

“In addition to physical classes, students will be required to attend online sessions after a one-hour break at home,” Itoo added. She specified that these virtual sessions will last for two hours each day to ensure continuity in learning.

The education minister also made it clear that no extension has been granted to the summer break. “The schools will reopen as per schedule on Tuesday, July 8,” she said.
