Mother, Son Found Clinging to Each Other After Boat Capsizes in Narmada Madhya Pradesh

In a heartbreaking scene, the bodies of a mother and her four-year-old son were recovered locked in an embrace after a cruise boat overturned in the Narmada River near Bargi Dam in Madhya Pradesh. The two were part of a Delhi family of four; the father and daughter survived.

The accident, triggered by sudden bad weather and strong winds, has claimed at least nine lives so far. Survivors described panic as the boat lost balance and began sinking within minutes.

Rescue teams have saved 24 people, with several hospitalised, while others—including children—remain missing. Search operations by police and disaster response teams are ongoing.
